Below is listed the original cuts of tracks recorded by Lee Perry, or by an artist that he was producing. Artists such as Chenly Duffas, David Isaacs, Busty Brown and Susan Cadogan mainly covered well-known hits. Perry himself was especially fond of the Chi-lites album ‘(For God’s Sake) Give More Power To The People’ (Brunswick). He even got to record with some members of the band (the Horn section) when they were in Kingston. Bunny Clarke/Scott’s ‘Kinky Fly’ and ‘Second Avenue’ both feature the band. (album only tracks) Of course Stax, Atlantic, Motown are all represented - as are the R’n’B artists that would have been originally heard at Sound System dances. There may be older versions of the song but these are the ones that would have mostly likely been heard in JA, at that time.
