The Scania Driver Competitions is a global competition that has been arranged since 2003. The competitions encompass both theoretical and practical tests, including such elements as precision manoeuvring.
Scania develops, manufactures and sells trucks with a gross vehicle weight of more than 16 tonnes (Class 8), intended for long-distance, construction and distribution haulage, as well as public services.
Industrial, marine and power generation engines from Scania are used in electric generator sets, construction and agricultural machinery, as well as in commercial marine applications, such as pilot boats and sea rescue vessels. The engines are renowned for their compact size and excellent power-to-weight ratio.
