Today i unexpectedly had an opportunity to Film some more Trains on The West Somerset Railway. So i tried two new locations ( to Me) which i never had the chance to Film at during the S&DJR Spring Gala. It was too good too miss..With perfect Weather and visibility for Miles..i took advantage of the Day the best i could. The WSR was operating the Red Timetable which is 4 Departures each way between Minehead and Bishops Lydeard. The same Two Locomotives were running same as the previous Day on Saturday 16th when i was Training on 6960 'Raveningham Hall' on BL2 and 53808 was on the Minehead duty MD1. The Trains were all Chimney first to BL and Tender first towards MInehead... I seemed to have filmed a few clips of the immaculately turned out 7F 53808. But it was all down to timing and where i could go to fit in with the Timetable !! There was an extra working Today in the shape of the Quantock Belle Dining Train which was hauled by the ex LMS 4F 44422....Pity it was Tender first...But it slowly passed Me by at Bye Farm with a steady exhaust beat so as to give the Diner's a chance to eat their Meal before arriving in Minehead.
I hope you enjoy these Handful of clips....Steve.-:)
