    176 views 3 months ago
SSHRC announced the Top 25 finalists in the 2015 Storytellers challenge on April 1, 2015. The top entries address key societal issues, highlighting how research in the social sciences and humanities helps us understand and improve the world around us.

These finalists will participate in The Storytellers Showcase on Monday, June 1 at the University of Ottawa (#CongreSSH), where they will compete to become one of the Final Five Storytellers.

The Final Five will give a featured presentation to a VIP audience at SSHRC's Impact Awards ceremony in Ottawa in the fall.

    ------------------------

The Honourable Mention category is new for Storytellers 2015. We created it once we realised that the number (up 70% from last year!) and quality (amazing!) of this year’s submissions meant we couldn’t squeeze every great entry into the Top 25. Here are our 10 (awesome) Honourable Mentions.

    ----------------------------------------------------
