Share & Care Foundation “Share & Care Foundation”

Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for underprivileged woman, children, and families living in remote areas of rural India. We do this by supporting programs in the fields of health care, women empowerment, village upliftment, and education. Specific programs include keeping young children in school; a college tuition loan program; livelihood training for women; sexual abuse education for children, parents, teachers, and other village heads; gender equality training; village Lok Mitras; access to basic health care; improving infant/child/maternal mortality rates; and more.

The Share & Care Foundation was founded in 1982 as the brainchild of an innovative group of Indian-American philanthropists living in New Jersey. Our core volunteer group (board members) hail from different backgrounds and disciplines, including medicine, administration, finance, business, and engineering.
