Regions celebrates the life of Bishop Calvin Woods, the 2015 History in Motion honoree. Each year during Black History Month, Regions honors those who have worked to make Alabama a better place through their efforts for civil and social equality. Through his work in the church and through his leadership in organizations such as the Alabama Christian Movement for Human Rights and the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, Woods never varied from his message of non-violence to gain individual freedoms for African Americans. Woods currently serves as national chaplain of the SCLC.
seethegood.com was born out of the hearts and minds of a group of us who work here at Regions. We continue to be inspired by all of the good we see around us. Stories of selfless service. Stories of inspiration. Stories of courage. We hear stories that make us laugh. Stories that make us cry. And stories that just make us want to be better. So we came up with the idea of sharing the positive things we see and hear. Sharing the good, so to speak.
