Boyer is one of the most frequently performed American orchestral composers of his generation, with over 400 public performances of his works by 150 different orchestras -- from the Hollywood Bowl to Carnegie Hall -- and thousands of broadcasts by classical radio stations around the United States and abroad. His many commissions include the Boston Pops' tribute to the Kennedy brothers, which was narrated by top Hollywood actors including Robert De Niro, Morgan Freeman, Ed Harris, and Alec Baldwin. Boyer is also active in the film and TV music industry, and has contributed orchestrations to more than 30 major film scores by leading Hollywood composers such as Michael Giacchino, James Newton Howard, Thomas Newman, James Horner, Alan Menken, and Mark Isham. Boyer has composed music for The History Channel, the A&E Networks Production Music Library, and arranged music for the Academy Awards telecasts.
