Baby’s first smile, first laugh, first steps. These are all milestones you look forward to with a new baby.
What you never anticipate is your baby’s first ambulance ride. Just days old, little Wyatt “the warrior” was transported to Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford to be tested for mysterious blisters covering him from head to toe. After six days of poking and prodding, the diagnosis finally came: diffuse cutaneous mastocytosis, a rare disease of the white blood cells. How rare? Wyatt is just one of 30 infant cases to be reported in the United States.
Wyatt keeps fighting every day. Will you give Wyatt and more children in our care the gift of hope and healing? Your donation of $50 could mean more firsts for more kids.
Every day we are inspired by the extraordinary kids at our hospital: their resilience, their strength, and their ability to find happiness in even the most difficult times. Their care, comfort, and cures starts with community support. This is why we Scamper.
This year, our Summer Scamper patient heroes will serve as ambassadors of the nine suggested areas of support below. You can choose to fundraise on behalf of your favorite child health program at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford or Stanford University School of Medicine.
