The Northern California Section of the Professional Golfers' Association is an organization committed to helping others through the game of golf. With 1,100 dedicated PGA Professionals and apprentices at over 400 golf facilities in Northern California/Northwestern Nevada, the association continues to have a positive impact on the game of golf both regionally and nationally.

Organized in 1920 to promote interest in the game of golf, the birth of this association was heralded as an important step to the advancement of the game in this district. The Northern California Section was granted a charter of affiliation by The PGA of America in October 1924 and is one of the forty-one designated sections of the PGA of America, the world's largest working sports organization.

This section comprises all of Northern California extending from the northern border of the state to a southern boundary formed by a line between the city of Cambria on the coast and the state line near Beatty, NV.
