A video greeting to you from Yoko Ono, who was married to John Lennon

John Lennon was the lead singer in the band The Beatles. He created many songs about a better world and the most famous one is the song "Imagine". John and Yoko used music as a tool to spread a message of peace and non-violence around the world.

On December 8th, 1980, John Lennon was shot and killed outside his home in New York City. A sculpture of a gun with a knotted barrrel was created in memory of him by the artist and sculptor Carl Fredrik Reuterswärd. Carl Fredrik was a good friend of John and Yoko, and he named the sculpture Non-Violence.

The bronze sculpture Non-Violence has been placed at more than 30 locations around the world. The most famous is the one in front of the United Nations in New York.
