Lily came to the Nebraska Humane Society with both of her front legs severely broken. We were able to repair both of her legs, and now after many weeks of care, she is ready to find her forever home.
Lily's foster family would like to share some things about Lily that will help her transition to her new family:
Lily loves to snuggle next to you on the couch and will burrow under her blanket to be warm and feel safe. She is shy but loves to spend her time with you when she finds out you are nice. She is crate trained, and her foster family has been working hard on her housebreaking. She is doing quite well with her training when she is on a good schedule, going out first thing in the morning, after breakfast, mid-day, after supper, and before bed.
Lily is small and delicate. For these reasons, she should not go to a home with children under 8. When you pick her up, she may try to leap from your arms. Her foster family always keeps both hands on her as they hold her, so that she doesn't jump or fall and re-injure her legs. She also loves to run, and she is very fast. She will need a fenced-in yard, as she is curious about things and may try to explore beyond your boundaries if you don't keep her with you.
Lily gets along well with other well-behaved dogs. She is very playful with her foster family's gentle dogs, and she loves to play chase and tug-of-war over stuffed animals.
Lily is a fun puppy, and her foster family members have really enjoyed their time with your. They ask that you please give her the gentle love that she deserves.
