The Fifth Annual NCSA Blue Waters Symposium brought together leaders in petascale computational science and engineering for a tremendous opportunity for sharing successes and challenges in large-scale heterogeneous computing. Along with presentations from the Blue Waters science teams, the symposium featured keynotes from innovative thinkers in science and provided opportunities to share and discuss specific topics of interest.
The NCSA Colloquia series was launched in fall 2014 to bring leaders in big data, big computing, and big research to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign to enlighten and spark innovation among researchers and students of all disciplines.
NCSA’s 30 year history is filled with world-changing developments in every field of academic study and real world problem solving. NCSA and the University of Illinois have always been a nexus for innovation and change – NCSA’s creation as a national hub for digital inquiry and exploration represented a revolution in the culture of conduct and research. As we head into our next 30 years, NCSA will continue to shape lives and the future of scientific research and innovation. Take a look back with us and celebrate our accomplishments, while keeping an eye on the future.
