Watch First Real Shop Update - Penrose CO - December 2017 by Colorado wood and metal artist Mitchell Dillman http://ColoradoSpringsSawmi...
for your first good look around the new work shop and yard.
Mitchell uses locally harvested Colorado "Wildfire Wood" and other dead standing timber to create many types of modern-rustic log furniture, fixtures and decor. He's taken his designs a step further, creating blueprints and Dp-It-Yourself Furniture Kits. http://LogFurnitureHowTo.com
This video documents many of the steps involved in preparing Mitchell's new location in Penrose, Colorado for his shop, yard and work area.
This relocation started with dirt work, excavating and leveling out a large 60' X 45' pad for two Conex shipping containers. One of the shipping containers will become storage, the other is to be converted, sub-divided into an evaporative wood kiln and ventilated paint booth.
Next, Mitchell shifts his attention to his new shop floor, pouring a 6" slab of concrete throughout, with an additional 14' X 35' exterior work area our front before starting the process of moving all his tools and gear.
