Moving Mountains Trust Charity

Moving Mountains Trust is a registered charity in the UK set up in 2001 which funds long term development work in Kenya and Nepal. It was started by Gavin Bate in the early 1990s who also set up the respective Moving Mountains NGOs in each country and uses his expedition company Adventure Alternative to fund all the administrative costs of the charity.

In Kenya the charity focuses on providing a social prescribing hub for young people and families, running a variety of programmes in education, sports, health, lifeskills and adventure. It also rebuilds schools, runs a Youth Rescue Centre, provides counselling and mentoring services.

In Nepal the charity focuses on community infrastructure and education up in the mountains of Solu Khumbu, the Everest region, building schools, monasteries, clinics and providing clean water to villages.

'MM' is supported by donors and volunteers and by Adventure Alternative. Please enjoy our videos and find out about our story and help support us!
