The two members of the band Enliven were excused from high school classes in order to perform on this episode of Mormon Channel Studio. Tyra Orgill and Sander Morrison met while playing in the school orchestra. Since then, they have been composing and performing together, and their music videos have been seen by tens of thousands of people around the world.
Here, they play “All I Have to Give,” an original song first written by Tyra several years ago, when her mom was diagnosed with Lyme disease. The song is an expression of the hope and comfort Tyra wanted her mom to feel. Her vision for the song came alive when Sander added his cello accompaniment. The song was just as meaningful to him because his mom also has Lyme disease.
"We had kind of the same trial. The biggest trial wasn’t necessarily even the sickness, it was just the uncertainty of what she had and what was going to happen,” Sander says.
Tyra and Sander also perform a medley of “Come, Come Ye Saints” and “Homeward Bound.”
Mormon Channel Studio is a weekly video series featuring beautiful hymn arrangements and original music by LDS musicians from across the nation.
