Scouting America Monmouth Council

Providing Scouting programs for young people throughout central New Jersey since 1917, our mission along with the BSA is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.  The BSA prepares every eligible youth in America to become a responsible, participating citizen and leader who is guided by the Scout Oath and Law.  Monmouth Council’s goals include growing strong personal and family values in young people, who will reflect that in their self-confidence, self-reliance, and team-building skills.  Monmouth Council (BSA Council #347) is a not-for-profit organization.  There are 4 regional districts that make up our Council (Battleground, Middlesex, Thunderbird, and Twin Lights) serving our NJ communities in Monmouth and Middlesex counties with both outdoor and indoor adventures.
