Lulu has teamed-up with The Military Wives Choirs for a re-working of her song, ‘Cry’. All proceeds will be donated to The Military Wives Choirs Foundation charity.

The Military Wives Choirs Foundation brings women in the military community closer together through singing. Their network of 75 choirs improves well-being, builds friendships and offers the chance to develop new skills, all through the joy of singing.

Sara Scott, Trustee of The Military Wives Choirs Foundation, said, “We are delighted to team-up with the amazing Lulu for ‘Cry’. Women are the strength behind the strong, and there is now a network of seventy-five choirs on military bases across the UK and overseas.

Some men have always thought that they would die
if they were caught for letting one tear go,
‘Cos then their feelings just might show,
And they don't want the world to know.
Maybe now at last we can finally leave the past so we can grow and change,
    C’mon brother there's no shame.

Sometimes I’ve seen you try to hide the hurt you feel inside afraid that there’s no hope,
But you and I can always cope.
We can fix what ever’s broke.
Every battle has a cost; you never win until you’re lost
And so you pay your dues,
You earn the right to sing the blues.

    So cry
    Cry to me
    Cry to me
    And cry
    Cry to me
    Cry to me

There’s no sin in winning ‘cos I've known from the beginning
    it was plain to see.
The price we pay for victory.
Just take a look at you and me.
You stand and try to smile but honey I've seen all the while
you can't disguise a strain that hides behind a wounded pain.
Cos I knew from the very start.
That I’d be there to catch your heart (Your heart babe)

The Military Wives Choirs Foundation is part of the SSAFA family of charities as well as being a registered charity in its own right, registered charity number: 1148302 & SCO45217.
