Lucky is proud to team up with the American Heart Association and the Go Red for Women® movement with the BEAT heart disease campaign. Learn more about how you can help in the fight to BEAT heart disease here:

Nicole has a long history of heart conditions dating back to her diagnosis of dilated cardiomyopathy, an enlarged heart, at age 26. She changed her lifestyle to include regular exercise and a healthy diet, and was able to reduce the size of her heart and required no medical treatment until 2010. But then she went to the emergency room after a hike with her daughter when she became short of breath and felt faint. She coded in the ER several times that night. Nicole received a left ventricular assist device, LVAD, which kept her healthy enough to be considered for a heart transplant. Nicole left the hospital two weeks after a successful heart transplant and returned to her normal life. Proper diet and exercise help Nicole maintain her heart health. Nicole's experience with heart disease led to her involvement with the American Heart Association. Together, they are advocates of heart health awareness, especially toward women. Show less
