Meteorite Island - The Ice Age Era Sacred Aboriginal Site Being Destroyed by the Disgusting Environmentally Corrupt Shire of Dumbleyung - Mined for the Yellow Sand for Road Resurfacing and this sand Contains Ancient Aboriginal Relics and Probably Ancient Aboriginal Remains, not to mention this Island hosts a unique biodiversity of flora and faunahttps://www.youtube.com/pla...
To the people of Dumbleyung, to the farmers of Dumbleyung, when I stumbled across this ancient place, I really wanted to keep it a secret, but now I have no choice. I ask you all to please take a good hard look at this video, look at the true beauty that I show you and the world, this place is in no doubt, one of the most beautiful places in Dumbleyung, and in South Western Australia.
You must stand up for this place, for the rich biodiversity, the flora and fauna, the generations of animals that have been stuck on this Island since the surrounding land was cleared by our early Pioneers.
There is no escape for these animals, the surrounding salt plains is simply too vast for them to leave, and to dangerous, due to the extreme salinity and the lack of vegetation, this place has many species of animals such as snakes, reptiles, goannas, frogs, insects, quails, water birds, and so much more... it is truly a Island rich is Flora and Fauna, some of which that does not even grown on the mainland.
There is a section of Freshwater Paperbark Swamps that do not exist anywhere in the Dumbleyung Region, these Swamps will right now be full to the brim of freshwater with beautiful species of native Frogs calling out from the water and underneath the rich yellow sand. Western Spotted Frogs, Shoe Maker Frogs, Bleating Toadlets, Moaning Frogs, Motorbike Frogs, Turtle Frogs, Banjo Frogs and so many more!
A huge breeding cycle is about to begin and local wildlife and bird life both native and migratory will flock to this region to breed. Be prepared to see thousands of birds, Black Swans, Seagulls, Terns, Pelicans, you name it, we'll see it.
This land could set this farmer up for life, this land could educate your children's, your grand children, their children, and their grand children.
So some of you may say, I am a trouble maker.... now let me ask you this, am I a really a trouble maker? To the Shire of Dumbleyung, yes I am! and maybe in your eyes I am also, but take a good hard look at this land in the Dumbleyung / Kukerin area and all the land surrounding of Southern and Mid West Western Australia, their land and your land, your neighbours land.
Open your eyes to the destruction we have done in the last 130 years ... nothing is left, everything is gone and dead, please I ask you, take a good hard look at the death and destruction that surrounds us.... and still we continue to poison the land, and rip down our trees.
We must preserve places like this, for the sake of our children.... because I do this for them, and I know I will not be forgotten for my efforts and maybe one day I will be remembered for it. I know there are beautiful people out there who truly care and volunteer to save our community, our environment, our everything, I am only a quiet man, you all know that, so this is my way of giving to Dumbleyung. We must take action!
Will Farmers be still farming Wheat and Sheep in another 100 Years? I honestly do not think so! We must start to focus on really saving our land and stop the over cropping of land, even the cropping of salt affected land!
Mr Bain gave the Shire of Dumbleyung is multi million dollar property, Now let me ask you this! Can you image the possibilities if the Shire of Dumbleyung actually reseeded the land with natural flora and trees and reintroduced this land with the original species of fauna, wild life which does not exist in the Dumbleyung area anymore due to salinity and land clearing., now imagine the potential, imagine the potential for your children and their children, the possible tourism dollars, worth far more than the money they will make from cropping the land.
The Shire of Dumbleyung is run by a bunch of idiots, the nepotism runs rife, mate looking after mates, you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours... it is so simple, things must change! But I see no changes! I see nothing to look forward to for you and for our children, just take a look at the population decline over the last 20 to 30 years... take a look at our little tiny school which will likely close one day in the future.
The Shire of Dumbleyung will pay the price for this destruction and unfortunately they will pass this off to all of you rate payers out there, including I.
Hate me or Love me... I aint walking away, I will never give up my fight and I will always be a thorn in the side to the Shire of Dumbleyung... for the sake of our future and your children.
