ABOUT 'IF I CAN BREATHE'
First written as a ballad, the song talks about when we struggle to get through bad times and don't have support. So, we have to dig even deeper in ourselves and try to take each day at a time. The song was triggered when a friend became ill. However, I wanted the song to be accessible, so I wrote the words from a spiritual sense as well as a physical sense of hope and well being.

DOUBLE TAKE SERIES
'If I Can Breathe' is the first of eight songs in the Double Take series. The Double Take project is a nod to the singles that came out in the 60's whereby the b-side was equally as good as the a-side. As a songwriter, I first write my songs on the guitar. However, songs have a life of their own and need to blossom in their own way. The Double Take Project allows them to come into their own, to have their own voice.
