Lancaster ISD is a suburban public school district located in Lancaster, Texas on the southern border of
Dallas. We serve more than 7,300 students, of whom 96% are African American and Hispanic and almost 85% are economically disadvantaged. Our district is comprised of one high school campus, a junior high campus, one sixth grade campus, six elementary campuses and an alternative education campus.
Lancaster ISD is one of the largest predominantly African American districts in the state and we are proud of the significant accomplishments of our students. For seven consecutive years, more than 95% of our students graduated with a diploma and a letter of acceptance to a college, university, trade school or the
military. We have the highest graduation rate of the Best Southwest Member cities and one of the highest in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
For four years in a row, one hundred percent of our schools met standard on the most recent state assessment and our schools received multiple distinctions from the Texas Education Agency. In addition, we are a leader in early childhood educational programs and offer a full day academic option for
3-year-olds providing early academic exploration and social development. For more information about the wonderful things happening in Lancaster ISD, please visit www.LancasterISD.org.
