A film by Henry Scholfield, Alex Griffin and Christian Mascarenhas featuring the world’s fully knitted ski jacket: Freelite. Discover more: http://bit.ly/Freelite_YT1
Freelite by KJUS is the world’s first fully knitted ski jacket. It is a combination of firsts: unmatched freedom of movement, ultralight material and innovative production. Dancing is the ultimate expression of unrestricted freedom of movement. It is in this flow and rhythm that we have found unseen parallels between a contemporary dancer and alpine skier. A film, in which the product is the catalyst for a transition into the state of being lost in the moment.
Dancer Guillaume Quéau of the Dresden Frankfurt Dance Company translates the fluid movements of an alpine skier into an unhindered choreography, set to the hypnotic sounds of acclaimed British singer, songwriter and producer Jai Paul’s BTSTU.
Merging these worlds, KJUS makes a statement about the qualities and attributes of Freelite. We create a meta level in which the dancer “translates” the skiers emotions while experiencing ultimate freedom of movement.
It is also a statement for the power that unfolds when you become one with the outdoors. The feeling, when acceleration beams you into different spheres and when you forget about space or time. The feeling of freedom.
