My name is John Graybill II. I was diagnosed with Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy 2A in 1995 at the age of 17. I'm now 37 years young and still moving around. I created these videos not only to chart my progress with LGMD2A but also to help other people understand LGMD2A better.
These videos were taken from August 20th, 2013 to October 26th, 2013. At the time, I am 36 years old. Diagnosed at 17 in 1995 with LGMD2A. I've noticed some struggles have risen with walking, rolling over in bed, getting in and out of my truck. As you'll see, I'm still mobile and independent to some degree in each of these videos. I cannot get up from the floor if I should fall. After living with LGMD2A for nearly 20 years I have learned one important life lesson. "Enjoy what you have while you have it because one fall, one moment of lacking concentration could change the situation you're currently in to a much worse one." Thank you for watching and hopefully you learn one thing from what I have to offer you.
