Jenny Kerr

Third-generation San Franciscan and Oxford dropout, Jenny Kerr came of age in the Haight and grew up inside Americana. A commanding multi-instrumentalist on acoustic guitar, slide guitar, clawhammer banjo, harmonica, and piano, she's headlined major country and blues festivals worldwide, earned national radio play across Europe, and shared stages with Dave Alvin, Guy Clark, Big Brother and the Holding Company, Dr. John and Sam Bush, among many others.

Her new album, The Girl Who Swallowed the Moon, mixed in part by the legendary Bob Rock, is her boldest statement yet.

Dave Alvin writes: “Jenny Kerr's new album is an intriguing combination of tough vocal and instrumental chops from the blues/folk traditions that are effortlessly mixed with impressive, passionate songs and moody, expressive modern-day sonics. If you're a fan of smart, electric roots music, I cannot recommend The Girl Who Swallowed The Moon highly enough.”
