Jal Bhagirathi

Jal Bhagirathi Foundation (JBF) is an ISO 9001:2008 accredited NGO based in Rajasthan, India. It was established as a Trust on January 15th, 2002, by HH Maharaja Gaj Singh in order to address water-scarcity and foster sustainable development in the Marwar region of the Great Thar Desert.

It may interest you to know that the Water Habitat Retreat lies right next door to Jal Bhagirathi Foundation, and all proceeds benefit the local communities through JBF. That is, this hotel is a non-profit functionary of the Jal Bhagirathi Foundation. Since 2002, JBF has succeeded in creating over 3,300,000,000 (3.3 billion) liters of water storage capacity and has intervened to develop water security in over 300 village- impacting over four hundred thousand villagers and near one million livestock.
