The Jane Stern Dorado Community Library

JSDCL began as a lending library by community activist Jane Stern in 1974. It quickly became a bilingual learning center for language, literacy, and after-school programs as a 501(c) (3) non-profit corporation. The municipality of Dorado, PR  provided space for several expansions over the years, and in 2001 the Ángel Ramos Foundation recognized the library’s contributions with the prestigious Tina Hills Community Service Prize.
