The Lantos Foundation for Human Rights & Justice is named after the U.S. Congressman who did more than any other to raise genocide awareness. Every year, it bestows the Lantos Human Rights Prize to luminaries such as the Dalai Lama and Elie Wiesel. In 2015, Irshad shared the Lantos Prize with women’s rights activist Ayaan Hirsi Ali and Rebiya Kadeer, defender of China’s persecuted Muslim minority. This is the video of Irshad’s acceptance speech.
