Indian River Central School District

The Indian River Central School District is located in Jefferson County in rural northern New York, where the main industry is agriculture. The population of this area is experiencing one of the highest growth rates in New York State. Our community consists of six villages (Antwerp, Calcium, Evans Mills, Oxbow, Philadelphia, and Theresa) as well as the townships of Antwerp, Philadelphia, and Theresa and portions of the townships of Alexandria, LeRay, Pamelia and Rossie. Fort Drum, home to the United States Army's 10th Mountain Division, also comprises a significant portion of the district's population and geography. The Indian River area is near the Thousand Islands region and the St. Lawrence River, one of the primary shipping channels in the northeast. The small city of Watertown lies to our south.
