http://www.savingcranes.org The International Crane Foundation's (ICF) mission is to work worldwide to conserve cranes and the ecosystems, watersheds, and flyways on which they depend. ICF is dedicated to providing leadership, knowledge, and inspiration to engage people in resolving threats to these ecosystems.
Our programs stress the interdependence between wildlife and their habitats and the relationships that exist between wildlife, ecosystems and people. We believe that cranes are a symbol inspiring people from many nations to trust each other and to work together to conserve these magnificent birds.
ICF maintains a 225-acre world headquarters near Baraboo, Wisconsin.
Our site hosts a captive flock of approximately 100 cranes, including the only complete collection of all 15 species assembled.
The campus offers live crane exhibits, an interactive education center, guided and self-guided tours, a research library, visitor center and over four miles of nature trails set among 100 acres of restored tall grass prairie, oak savanna and wetlands.
