On October 1, 2009, Health & Medicine Policy Research Group hosted a great celebration of visionary leaders and a convergence of committed health system reformers! Over 140 folks came together to celebrate the winners of the 2009 HMPRG Awards-- 6 individuals and one organization that exemplify the spirit of public health and set the benchmark for us all. In addition we inaugurated 2 new awards recognizing young leaders- the 2009 Emerging Health Leader award and the 2009 Young Health Activist award.
