Do you know the difference between use by and best before dates? Use by date is about safety - foods can be eaten up until the use by date, but not after. Best before date is about quality and not safety. The food will be safe to eat after this date but may not be at its best.
If you’re eating out, check the food hygiene rating at www.food.gov.uk/ratings, or look for the green and black sticker before you decide where to eat or buy food. The Food Hygiene Rating Scheme can tell you how hygienically your food is prepared. #FHRS
