Did you know that Twitter can include your location in your tweets? To disable this feature, click on your icon to the left of the “Tweet” button in the top right corner and find settings.
Then navigate to “Security and Privacy” on the left hand side.
Scroll down and find “Tweet location”. If the box is unchecked, then your tweets do not contain your location. If the box is checked, uncheck it to disable the location feature. If your location was attached to your tweets, you can retroactively delete that information by clicking this button.
While you’re there, look around at the other privacy settings you can set on Twitter such as protecting tweets and receiving direct messages. Don’t forget to save your changes when you are done!
