More than one million Rohingya people have fled violence and persecution and are now living in the largest and fastest growing refugee camps in the world near Cox’s Bazar in Bangladesh. The Rohingya people are in desperate need of food, adequate shelter and life-saving health services. But, many are facing these problems blind. An estimated 50,000 Rohingya refugees are waiting for cataract surgery.
While the situation may seem overwhelming, The Fred Hollows Foundation can restore sight, and help improve their everyday lives.
