As you relax in this practice, you will feel sensations of melting down, lightness and warmth. When all muscular tension is gone, a gentle euphoria suffuses the whole body, you are ready to fall asleep.
The technique of relaxation is an important part of your yoga practice, as you relax the whole body and breathe slowly, less oxygen is consumed and less carbon dioxide eliminated, muscle tension is reduced and there's a decrease in the activity of the sympathetic nervous system, and an increase in parasympathetic activity.
