In May 1996 the new Irish Rail/NIR 'Enterprise' trains were delivered to Dublin Port from De Dietrich in France, after which they conducted trial running prior to replacing the Mk2 sets working between Dublin-Belfast. The 'Enterprise' sets are presently (2015) undergoing their first major overhaul since delivery in 1996.
