EMU was one of the first universities to require cross-cultural study for all students more than three decades ago. We now have one of the strongest cross-cultural study programs available.
EMU cross-cultural is more than study abroad. Its a unique chance to change your outlook and grow in your faith. Its an opportunity to learn about yourself and the broader world, developing character and values while building relationships.
On campus, in our community and around the world, EMU offers an outstanding Christian liberal arts education. Nestled in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, our vibrant learning community offers a unique blend of academics, based on faith exploration, deepening of personal character and core values like peacebuilding and service to others, and one of the best cross-cultural programs on any campus.
Here you'll meet professors who know your names, who challenge you to grow in your faith in a caring community, to broaden your worldview through our unique cross-cultural study program's home stays and off-the-beaten-path maps.
