It took me almost a year to get myself to upload this. This is me at my most vulnerable state. The birth of my daughter was the hardest thig I ever had to go through. Many extremely personal parts (including the nearly 4 hours of pushing and screaming, and what happened afterwards) have all been edited out per my request to keep the video as light as possible... I only want to remember the blessings of that moment. A lot happened that night, which I wont get into (snapfam knows), but things became very scary shortly after Aliya's birth. Thankfully, God is great and I am ok, and all that matters is that I had a healthy beautiful little girl to take home at the end of all this. Thank you to my videographer & doula Ally from www.knockedup.co (@knockedupco on instagram) for coaching me through it all and making me believe in myself. And especially for graciously coming back the next day to take these special shots of me and my baby and my family, since the night of the birth ended up much different than planned. Ill never forget anything that happened surrounding the birth of my first baby, and I hope this video continues to remind me (and others) of the true miracle and beauty of childbirth.
