DePauw is so confident in the outcome of its distinctive liberal arts education, we are the first university to guarantee it. Our goal is nothing less than a 100% graduate success rate within six months of graduation. Hear from VP for Strategic Initiatives - Cindy Babington, AVP for Student Academic Life/Dean of Academic Life - Dave Berque and several alumni on the power of a DePauw education.
The Timothy and Sharon Ubben Lecture Series brings the world's leaders to DePauw's campus.
A notable list of eminent individuals from a variety of backgrounds — including politicians, scientists, journalists, artists and human rights activists — have presented nearly 100 Ubben Lectures since the series began in 1986 through a gift from 1958 graduates Tim and Sharon Ubben. All of the programs are free and open to the public.
Past speakers have included Bill Clinton, Margaret Thatcher, Jane Goodall, Elie Wiesel, Tony Blair, Benazir Bhutto, Jesse Jackson, Mikhail Gorbachev and Spike Lee.
Alumni College lectures highlight faculty discussing topics including groundbreaking research, newly published books or articles, current events and local exhibits. These events happen throughout the year in cities across the country as well as through virtual webinars in order to provide educational programming for our alumni who crave stimulating, intellectual discourse.
