Wow. Ten years!
Since its launch as DISNA (Dr. Iqbal Society of North America) in Feb 2009 and its rebranding to IIS (International Iqbal Society) in August 2012, it has been an incredible ride. Through the ups and downs (and there have been plenty of both)…..
We at International Iqbal Society facilitate the process of learning and this is not possible without those who know, OUR TEACHERS and with the blessing of Allah, in the last 10 years we were able to reach many great teachers and are thankful to them for their time and for sharing their wisdom with us all.
This process of learning, again, cannot complete without YOU, one who want to learn. We get to see you in person—at conferences, study circles, courses and events around the world. We get to see you right here on the web, too — on Social Media, in the comments, through emails and other groups. Your support, empathy, and unwavering belief that the International Iqbal Society could and would do great things has been a beacon of hope and a challenge that we constantly strive to meet.
Many, many people have passed through the Society, leaving an indelible mark. We salute them all, and there have been many, who have been a force for good and helped us all to take our game to the next level. Thank you to those who paused here for a bit before continuing on your journeys, and for those who have stuck with us. There are people out there RIGHT NOW who have not yet discovered the International Iqbal Society family, and who are going to help us keep it amazing in the future. We cannot wait to meet them. Without all of you, there is nothing here.
Thank you for the ten remarkable years of warmth, friendship, and support. We absolutely could not have done it without you, nor can we take the next steps without your help. We hope you will keep holding us to high standards, and telling us when we have met your expectations and when we have let you down.
The Revival of the Message of Iqbal is ON!
Jazak Allah Khair and remember Team IIS in your duas,
