    Fifty years ago millions of elms were killed by Dutch elm disease, but on the Sussex coast you can find a landscape from our past. Once a quintessential icon of the British landscape, celebrated in work by John Constable and others, the elm can still be found in it's thousands here, the last bastion of the elm.
