April Graham is a lifelong cultural herbalist born & raised in the Blue Mountains of Northeast Oregon. Raised as an American Pavee on her father’s side & on the Umatilla Reservation on her mother’s side, plant knowledge wasn’t a hobby; it was daily life, rooted in survival & lived practice.

By 13, she was homeless, surviving nearly a decade on the streets, where herbs were food, medicine, & stability. Years later, five months pregnant, she was diagnosed with cervical cancer. She chose a different path, leaned into safe, simple herbal practice & deep nutrition, gave birth, & has been cancer-free for nearly 19 years.

She founded Wild Wood Apothecary, which ran for 11+ years & served hundreds of thousands while holding firm to strict whole plant standards.

For over a decade, she has taught herbalism publicly, pushing back against gatekeeping & the idea that plant knowledge should be hidden behind paywalls.
