In a study session, the council heard a presentation on the current status and future plans of the City Place Santa Clara project located across the street from Levi’s Stadium.
The Historic Preservation Society of Santa Clara and the Old Quad Residents Association Tour Committee presented donations raised from their 2017 Historic Home Tour
the Cultural Commission presented their calendar of upcoming events in April and May 2018.
The council declared March as "Red Cross Month," following a presentation by a volunteer for the Red Cross. The Council also declared March as --Women’s History Month.
The council approved a funding proposal for the fiscal year 2018-19 for the use of Federal Housing and Urban Development funds and heard public testimony about funding recommendations for consideration. Additional requests will be brought to a future study session.
Lastly, the council passed a motion approving a cost of living increase for Police Chief Mike Sellers, the Council directed staff to present salary setting policy options for the elected City Clerk and Chief of Police positions at a future study session.
