Every year some 10,000 men lose their lives to prostate cancer and over 2,000 others have their world turned upside down by a diagnosis of testicular cancer. And it was because of this many charities and campaigns were set up to help raise awareness to help prevent and fight these male illnesses.
And here at the Chrissy B Show we want to do our part for Male Cancer Awareness Month!
According to the Institute of Cancer Research in London, “Cancer is a disease of the genes, caused when DNA damage becomes fixed in the cells of our body. Anyone can develop cancer as they age and genetic damage builds up in cells, but the genes a person inherits, their lifestyle and their environment all contribute to their risk.”
Chrissy’s guests include a mother and son, Debbie and Ethan Garcia, who share their encounter with cancer, Social Worker, Urvashi Tripathi from the charity CLIC Sargent and Chrissy also shares her tips on how to get into the right frame of mind to face any battle.
The Chrissy B Show airs on SKY 203 every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 10pm in our cosy living room studio in the heart of London.
