"Being the daughter of an immigrant Hispanic mother, allowed me to discover my weakness and progressively work on them. Since I was a child, I have been ambitious in my academics. I eagerly test my boundaries and although sometimes I fail, I do not let this determine who I am. My Hispanic roots have taught me to be brave and work hard but most importantly, my mother's strength and determination have encouraged me to excel in my academics. My goal is to disintegrate the stereotypes society has placed on men and women. I wish to continue my studies and fulfill a career in which I rely on my knowledge and skills."
