When Yohan was diagnosed with CMT at age 7, his parents Gilles Bouchard and Elizabeth Ouellette immediately got involved with the CMTA to further its mission.
Now the CMTA’s Board Chair, Gilles spends his days working with our Scientific Advisory Boards and partners, with the goal of developing treatments to end CMT. Elizabeth Ouellette, also a CMTA board member, has touched the lives of many in our community throughout her 15 years as a CMTA full-time volunteer and advocate.
From his dormitory in graduate school, Yohan made this video to explain how his parents’ involvement in advancing CMTA research (STAR) has touched his life, and how he has seen the CMTA grow.
We are grateful for Yohan’s heartfelt words and his parents’ unwavering commitment to improving the lives of individuals with CMT.
Please join hands with Yohan and his parents to bring us one step closer to delivering treatments to the 2.8 million people who are living with this disease. Your gift will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $150,000. Donate today! https://www.cmtausa.org/150...
