Caring For The World Films, a celebrated documentary production company, was the brain child of journalist Debi Lang. For 20 yrs, Lang traveled to remote corners of the globe, capturing powerful stories of perseverance & resilience, pioneering a new genre of humanitarian filmmaking embraced by the documentary industry. The films involved meticulous vetting cultural research & language learning, ensuring that the production team gained the trust of local populations before filming began. The team utilized a “guerrilla style” approach, emphasizing unscripted non-intrusive filming techniques to authentically capture the voices of those featured.
Throughout its tenure, CFTWF prioritized ethical storytelling, recognizing the significant responsibility filmmakers have to the communities they document.
Since its inception, CFTWF's films have been screened/streamed worldwide, garnering over thirty awards/festival invitations, & inspiring a new generation of global filmmakers.
