Across Iran, the region, and the global diaspora, people have risked everything for Woman, Life, Freedom, demanding a society grounded in rights, equality, and human dignity. Today, those aspirations face renewed pressure. Authoritarian forces, whether draped in religion or wrapped in nationalist flags, are growing louder, while progressive, feminist, and secular voices are pushed to the margins. Across the world, the space for free thought, secularism, and open debate is under increasing strain. Independent media, able to challenge power, defend rights, and give voice to dissent, has never been more essential. Bread and Roses TV, hosted by Maryam Namazie and Fariborz Pooya, returns to air from May 2026 in Persian and English, providing a platform for open debate and critical discussion.
