    I remember being really hungover when I wrote this song. I'd slept through my alarm, spent too much money, and I was so mad at myself. This song was my best effort at being a confident mess haha. At the end of the day, this song is very tongue in cheek since I don't party as much anymore. Not having plans on a Friday night these days is a glorious feat when before I would have lost my mind. I wanted this song to capture that feeling of being young and thinking growing up is the worst thing in the world. "If it's going to hell, let's get higher than heaven" was the best way I could describe that feeling. Lyrics below;

"Drive me down this highway I’ve had too much to drink
There’s clothes on my bedroom floor and dishes in the sink
But I’ve got Tennessee Muscadine and California weed
Baby lets just take our time
You told me you were wasted then you took another sip
I know I need the cash, but I’m calling in sick
I wanna kiss you in the moonlight til the sun shines on your skin
    Baby that would be alright

If it's going to hell, lets get higher than heaven
Why go down fighting when flying is better
You light the match, we go up together
We don’t get to be this young forever

It happens when you grow up
    You start wanting more
I wanna chase the dragon while it’s all I’m looking for
Someday we might not be happy or in love anymore
    But that’s alright

It’s all going to hell, lets get higher than Heaven
Why go down fighting when flying is better
You light the match, we go up together
We don’t get to be this young forever

Someday we’ll become our parents and forget who we are
Start paying bills on time… quit going out to bars"
