All of us who practice Birankai Aikido are working to fund seminars to raise our level of Aikido, Iaido and Zazen training through the T.K. & Mitsuko Chiba Endowment. Our national goal is to raise $400,000 in four years and we are already funding seminars through this effort. Donate today through the fundraising page on the Birankai.org website. Thanks for your generosity and let's keep Birankai Aikido strong!
Birankai Aikido founder T.K. Chiba Shihan has always treated women as equal to men in their potential to achieve the top levels of Aikido practice and instruction. Among U.S. Aikido organizations, Birankai has by far the largest proportion of women instructors in its teaching ranks and we're proud of that fact! We're also hosting Yoko Okamoto Sensei of Aikido Kyoto as our featured instructor at 2014 Birankai Summer Camp in Oregon -- the first time a female instructor has headlined a major Aikikai Aikido event.
