Many Verizon workers were involved in the recovery efforts following the 9/11 terrorist attacks in New York City, including those at company headquarters at 140 West street adjacent to the World Trade Center site. As a result, thousands of our members were also exposed to dangerous and perhaps deadly toxins.
The latest medical study of 2,900 children exposed to 9/11 toxins, just published (Sept 7, 2017) in the Journal of Environmental International found those now young adults are showing early and advanced signs of heart disease risk.
